Maude E. Donahue, 104, formerly of Allen, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility. She was born April 16, 1904 in Jonesville to Fred & Hattie Belle (Austin) Huber. She was married Aug. 29, 1927 to James Donahue and he preceded her in death in 1994.

Maude was a retired employee of Kittie Brush & Toy Company. She was a 1923 graduate of Jonesville High School and a former member of the Mothers of World War II.

Maude is survived by two daughters, Joan (Burton) Buelow of Allen and Phyllis (Harold) Warner of Jonesville; a son, James P. (Donna) Donahue of Jonesville; thirteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, James, she was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, one brother and one grandchild.

Funeral services for Maude E. Donahue will be Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., at VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Fr. Thomas Butler officiating. Interment will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
