Nina Daglow, 84, of Hillsdale, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at the McGuire Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born March 2, 1924 in Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania to Gaetano & Venerina (Bartolada) DeFranco. She was married June 1, 1946 to Charles J. "Shorty" Daglow and he preceded her in death in 1997.

Nina was a former secretary for the U.A.W. Local 701. She was also a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Hillsdale Elks Lodge # 1575.

Survivors include two sons, Charles (Elaine) Daglow, Jonesville and Jeffrey (Darcia) Daglow, Pittsford; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Terry Rich, Jackson and Josie Benzie, Bad Axe; a brother, Sam (Aggie) DeFranco, Toledo, Ohio.

A mass of Christian burial for Nina Daglow will be Monday, April 21, 2008, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hillsdale with Fr. Thomas Butler as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. There will be a visitation Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m., with a prayer vigil service Sunday at 4:00 p.m., at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
