Robert F. Myers, 82, of Waldron, MI, passed away early Saturday morning, January 16, 2010, at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold, OH. He was born February 1, 1927, to the late Floyd F. and Huldah (Basinger) Myers. Robert married Joyce Gottschalk on July 14, 1951, in Angola, IN, and she survives.

Robert was a life-long farmer and a past Laborer and member of the Lauber Hill Reformed Mennonite Church since 1955. He will be sadly missed by his wife, children, and grandchildren, whom he dearly loved.

Surviving Robert besides his wife, Joyce, are two sons, Dave (Viki) Myers and Steve (Darlene) Myers all of Waldron, MI; one brother, Oakley Myers of Waldron; six grandchildren, Rob, Jen, Andy, Adam, Shelby, and Sean; and seven great-grandchildren, Brody, Paige, Brianna, Dakota, Christian, Ryan, and Autumn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Rolland, Darrell, and Francis; and a sister-in-law, Marian Myers.

A funeral service for Robert Myers will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lauber Hill Reformed Mennonite Church in rural Archbold with James Basinger and Mark Bankert officiating. Interment will follow at Lauber Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at the Eagle Funeral Home-Barrett Chapel in Fayette on Monday from 5-8 p.m., and Tuesday from 1-3 and 5-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Lauber Hill Reformed Mennonite Church.
