Dottie Lou Garrison
February 25, 1949 - April 13, 2012
Dottie Lou Garrison, 63, of S. Gorham St., Fayette, died late Friday night, April 13, 2012, at her home. She was born on February 25, 1949, in Alvada, OH, to the late Thurman and Golden (Turner) Cole. She married Marion Junior Garrison on December 23, 1967, in Hillsdale, MI, and he survives.
Dottie grew up on the family farm near Hillsdale, and attended school in Pittsford, MI. A homemaker, Dottie loved life, and especially enjoyed motorcycle riding, traveling and camping, and crafting with beads.
Surviving besides her husband, Marion, are a son, Ronald E. Garrison of Morenci, MI; four sisters, Wanda L. Rosales of Albion, IN, Anna (Bruce) Grwinski of Auburn, IN, Kittie (Ric) Richmond of Montpelier, OH, and Gloria (Kenneth) Keasal of Hillsdale; five grandchildren, Falon, Ridge, Brianna, McKayla, and Alden; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings in infancy.
A funeral service for Dottie Garrison will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-Barrett Chapel in Fayette with Pastor Samuel Wickard officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday evening, from 5-8 p.m.
