Howard H. "Hod" Warner
March 28, 1923 - June 1, 2012
Howard H. “Hod” Warner, 89, of Homer, passed away Friday (6/01/12) at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall. Mr. Warner was born March 28, 1923 in Homer MI to Vernon and Lula (Hoyt) Warner. He served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of the Homer VFW. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Ida Walter, in 1952, and she preceded him in death. In the 1950s and 60s they enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends in Northern Michigan. Howard retired from McGraw-Edison Co. in Albion.
Surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and 6 step-grandchildren. His parents, wife, 6 sisters and 2 brothers preceded him in death.
Visitation is scheduled Monday from 5-8 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel, Litchfield. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Reverend Tim Marvel officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Homer. Memorials are suggested to the Calhoun Co. Humane Society of Leader Dogs for the Blind (1039 S. Rochester Rd., Rochester MI 48307-3115).
