Robert E. "Bob" Sturtevant

Robert E “Bob” Sturtevant, 70, of Montgomery, passed away Friday (6/8/2012) at home. He was born December 16, 1941, in Adrian to Ralph W. and Agnes (Bailey) Sturtevant. He was a graduate of Britton High School in 1960, Toledo Barber College in 196l, and opened Bob’s Barber Shop in Tecumseh in 1966. He was also a beekeeper and enjoyed attending threshing conventions and collecting and restoring farm tractors. Bob was a great family man; a loving husband, father, and grandfather and always smiling.

On August 20, 1966, he married Judy Alcock and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Debbie Sturtevant (Kelly Johnson) of Fremont, IN, Mindy (Richard) Kelley of Hillsdale, and Deanna (Todd) Southworth of Allen; two sons, Scott (Melinda) Sturtevant of Fremont, IN, and Ernest Sturtevant (Jessica Warren) of Edgerton, OH; one sister, Sharon (Dale) Popelar of Erie; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 AM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading. Interment will follow in Billingstown Cemetery, Edon, OH. Visitation is scheduled Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to the family.
