Brigitte M. Abramczyk

Brigitte M. Abramczyk, 63, of Morenci, Michigan passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 10, 1949, in Vienna, Austria. She came to the United States on December 29, 1954. She is the daughter of Franz and Helena (Haumann) Schmidt. She married Stanley Abramczyk on August 20, 1967, in Cleveland, Ohio and he preceded her in death on September 6, 2007.

Brigitte previously lived in the Detroit area before moving to Morenci in 1990. She graduated from Siena Heights College with a bachelors degree in psychology. She retired from Bob Evans restaurant in 2007. She also owned and operated Green Acres fruit and vegetable stand. She was an avid animal lover, and enjoyed reading, playing cards, and playing games with her grandchildren.

Surviving Brigitte are three children, Samantha (George) Abramczyk of Tipton, Michigan, Stanley Abramczyk of Hell, Michigan and Amanda (Troy) Dominique of Pittsford, Michigan; her mother, Helen Burger of Vero Beach, Florida and her father, Franz Schmidt of Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters, Delores Maria (Charlie) Sneed of Vero Beach, Florida and Theresa ( Daniel ) Mangan of Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, Frankie Schmidt of Cleveland, Ohio; four step children, Susie Meuse and Patty Abramczyk of Euclid, Ohio; Dian (Brian) Pennebaker and Tim (Rose) Abramczyk all of Cleveland, Ohio; ten grandchildren and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Monica Anne.

Memorial services for Brigitte will be Friday, June 22, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci, Michigan with Sister Rosemary Abramovich officiating. Private interment will follow in Lyons Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
