Ronald Jack Yenor
April 16, 1931 - June 18, 2012
Jack Yenor, 81, of Morenci passed away Monday, June 18, 2012, at the Fulton Manor in Wauseon, Ohio. He was born on April 16, 1931, in Adrian the son of Percy & Leo (Barnes) Yenor. On May 16, 1953, in Morenci he married Betty L. Bancroft. She preceded him in death on September 5, 1998.
Jack has lived most of his life in the Morenci area where he was a member of the Morenci Eagles Aerie #1297 and the Morenci American Legion Post #368. He served his country during the Korean War on the USS O'Leary as a radar operator. He was formerly employed by Weidemier of Ann Arbor (as a salesman) retiring in the mid 90's.
Jack was an avid golfer, he loved playing the casinos and looked forward to every Thursday to play euchre with the boys. He was the best Detroit Lions fan that there will ever be on this earth. Jack will be always known for his barbecued ribs.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Schumacher of Nappanee, Indiana, and Pamela (Randy) Borton of Manitou Beach; a son, Michael (Mary) Yenor of Manchester, Connecticut; a brother, Howard (Mary) Yenor of Posey Lake; five grandchildren, Christina (Bill) Winne, Jill (Ryan) Glew, Jeffrey Yenor, David Yenor and Miranda Yenor; four great grandchildren, Gabriel Glew, Zoey Glew, Jacob Winne and Caleb Winne; and a special friend for the past several years, Marlyn Kutzley.
Besides his wife, Betty, Jack was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edward and Raymond Yenor.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 23, 2010, at 11:00 AM at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci with Rev. William VanValkenburg officiating. There will be a visitation on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
