Katherine C. Sackett

Katherine C. Sackett, 88 of Jonesville, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the Hillsdale Community Health Center. She was born May 27, 1924 in Jonesville to Alvie and Vera (Blair) Badders. Katherine married Paul Sackett on July 26, 1952 and he preceded her in death on June 1, 2007.

Katherine was a graduate of Jonesville High School, Class of 1945. She worked as an aide at Williams Elementary School in Jonesville. Katherine enjoyed putting puzzles together and collecting salt and pepper shakers. She also loved to play the piano and western style square dancing.

Survivors include two sons, Alvie L. (Keri) Sackett of Hillsdale and Terry L. (Maylou) Sackett of the Philippines; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Paul, Katherine was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Katherine Sackett will be Monday, June 25, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Jonesville with Pastor Craig Pahl officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
