Norma Lynn Leady

Norma Lynn Leady, 58, of rural Fayette, died Saturday morning, June 30, 2012, at her home. She was born on July 5, 1953, in Tecumseh, MI, to James Norman and Royetta (Hall) Fredrick and she survives. She married Barry Leady on October 13, 2006, in Fayette, who survives.

Norma lived her early life in Tecumseh, where she attended Tecumseh High School. She most recently was employed with the former MIG Plastic company in Fayette. Her family remembers her for her exceptional skill of cooking, as well as her enjoyment of knitting, reading, and the challenge of crossword puzzles. Everyone enjoyed her company and she loved to socialize, especially with her family and friends. Norma was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Tecumseh and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Surviving Norma are her husband, Barry Leady of Fayette; mother, Royetta (Bill) Major of Monroe, MI; a son, Ronnie Mac Louchart of Waldron, MI; four daughters, Heather Tirb (Keith Benge) of Toledo, OH, Heidi Pringle of Eaton Rapids, OH, Melissa (Levi) Percy of Waldron, and Tiffany Wheeler of Montpelier, OH; two sisters, Kathy (Terry) Holt of Friendswood, TX , and Sheila Kelley of Irish Hills, MI; 27 grandchildren; and a newborn great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Fredrick; a daughter, Christine Louchart; a sister, Sheryl Goble; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

A funeral service for Norma Leady will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-Barrett Chapel in Fayette with Pastor Paul Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the Waldron Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation at the funeral home on Monday afternoon, from 4-8 p.m., and also on Tuesday for one hour preceding the service.

In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may direct memorial donations to the family to aid with expenses.
