Mildred Helen Gripman
July 28, 1927 - July 3, 2012
Mildred Helen Gripman, 84, formerly of California Township, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility where she had resided the past 1-1/2 years. Born July 28, 1927 in California Township, she was the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Bilek) Pavka. Mildred graduated from Montgomery High School and had worked at Watson Trading Company making baskets. She loved flowers, gardening, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
On August 4, 1948 she married Kenneth Gripman and he preceded her in death in 2002.
Survivors include 2 sons, Rick (Lori) Gripman of Reading; Kevin Gripman of Kinderhook; 1 sister, Josephine Williams of California Corners; 2 brothers, Joe (Betty) Pavka of Reading, William (Laura) Pavka of Hillsdale; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and 1 son, Kenneth Gripman.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel, Reading, with Pastor Don Harkey officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility.
