Bradley O. McCarty

Bradley O. McCarty, age 62, of Hillsdale, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He was born January 28, 1950 in Hillsdale to Olin & Donna (Cook) McCarty, they survive in Osseo. He was married May 5, 2007 to Linda Plum and she survives.

Brad was a former employee of Hillsdale Tool. He was a veteran of the U.S. National Guard serving during the Vietnam era. Brad was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed playing guitar.

Surviving besides his wife Linda and parents Olin & Donna are 2 children, Nora (Shane) Stead of Columbus, Ohio and Shawn (Lori) McCarty of Defiance, Ohio; a granddaughter, Kelcie; and a sister, Cinda (Craig) Easterday of Hillsdale.

He was preceded in death by a son, Zach and a daughter Shelley.

Funeral services for Brad McCarty will be Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 12:00 noon, at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Dr. August Peters officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Jefferson Twp. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
