Bertha Mae Myers

Bertha Myers, 95, longtime Quincy resident, passed away Thursday (7-19-2012) at The Lodge of Quincy. She was born May 29, 1917 in Mystic, CT to George and Angie (Harris) Ladd. Moving to Quincy in 1935, she worked 15 years at a bookstore in Coldwater. Bertha also served 6 years as the Quincy Village Treasurer and Village Clerk, retiring in 1980. She belonged to the Quincy Rebekah Lodge #186, Quincy American Legion Auxiliary, Coldwater Eagles Auxiliary, and the Quincy United Methodist Church.

On Sept. 5, 1939 she married William Charles Myers and he preceded her in death in 1994.
Survivors include 9 grandchildren, Timothy (Lisa) Myers of Quincy; Tracy (Marcell) Myers of Warsaw IN, Tammie (Tom) Croft of New Barnstead NH; Tricia Myers of Adrian; Mark (Tess) Lewis of Quincy; Dan Lewis of Quincy; Jacob, Anthony and Adam Myers; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 daughters-in-law, Lois Myers and Barbara J. Myers, both of Quincy.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sons (K. C. and Terry Myers), 1 granddaughter, 1 sister, and 1 brother.

Funeral services will be held Monday, 11:00 AM, at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel, Quincy, with Pastor Martin Cobb officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Quincy. Visitation is scheduled Sunday from 2-4 PM at the funeral home.
