Don William Jarman
February 14, 1934 - July 21, 2012
Don William Jarman, 78, of Quincy, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at his daughter’s home in Coldwater where he was surrounded by his family. He was born February 14, 1934 in Riggsville MI, the son of Vernon and Helena (Wester) Jarman. He graduated from Pellston High School and served in the US Navy from 1952 – 1956. Don was a police officer in Grand Rapids from 1957 – 1962. Moving to the Quincy area, he became a farmer and a member of the Quincy Union Church, the NRA, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, gardening, and working on his farm.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia (Bellville) Jarman, whom he married May 27, 1955;
2 daughters, Karen (Lawrence) Nesseth of Hartsville SC; Linda (Mike) Fronczak of Coldwater MI; 1 son, Robert (Doris) Jarman of Brimley MI; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters, Violet Hall of Texas; Joyce (Al) Parris of Rogers City MI; Helen (Alton) Buck of Indiana; Maybel Williams and Joanne Ostwald, both of Cheboygan MI; 6 brothers, William (Ila) Jarman of Cheboygan MI; Dale (Lola) Jarman of Sault Ste Marie MI; Louis (Judy) Jarman of Fackler AL; Edward (Dee) Jarman of Joliet IL; Thomas (Linda) Jarman of Sims NC; David (Theann) Jarman of East Lansing MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Andrew Jarman.
Visitation is scheduled Monday, from 1-3 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel, Quincy, where funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Jacob Fronczak officiating. Burial in Oaklawn Chapel Garden, Sault Ste Marie MI will be Thursday at 2:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to the Quincy Union Church.
