Michael A. Crabill

August 30, 1950 - July 30, 2012

Michael A. Crabill, 61, of Coldwater, passed away Monday (7/30/2012) at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born August 30, 1950, in Coldwater to Grover and Shirley (Knight) Crabill and she survives in Coldwater. He was a 1969 graduate of Coldwater High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Michael had worked at Acorn Products and Crotty Corporation in Quincy and was a member of the Coldwater American Legion Post #52. Music was his passion and he was a talented musician, playing bass guitar for many years in the Black Rose Band and Krazy Kats, as well as many other bands over the years.

Also surviving are four daughters, Kristina (Greg) Rodriguez of Bronson, Patti (Ben) Smith of Florida, Sarah (Matt) Counterman and Diana Rodriguez of Coldwater; one sister Renee (Jeff) Foley of Coldwater; three brothers, Phillip (Wendi) Crabill, Scott Crabill, and Bryan (Tammy) Crabill, all of Coldwater; sister-in-law, Debra Crabill, of Coldwater; 17 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; wife, Brenda (Woods) Crabill in 2011; daughter and son-in-law, Josie and Gary Newman; brother Gerald; and an infant brother.

Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel, Quincy.
