Evelyn B. Green

Evelyn B. Green, 92, of Goshen and formerly of Osseo, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012, in Goshen, Indiana. She was born June 14, 1920 in Cambria Twp., Michigan to Charley & Mary (Stover) Myers. She was married October 26, 1941 to Victor Green and he preceded her in death in 1992.

Evelyn was a graduate of Osseo High School in 1938. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the former Osseo PTA. Evelyn was involved with little league while the children were growing up and she loved taking care of kids and baking.

Surviving are 2 children, Katherine (Allan) Currier of Goshen and Dean (Cindy) Green of Hillsdale; 2 grandsons, Chad (Bethany) Green and Christopher Green and 3 great-grandchildren, Paul, Aaron and Peyton; 3 sisters, Ruth Owens and Marian Moore, both of Jonesville and Judy (Vincent) Worley of Hartland, Wisconsin; 2 brothers, Charles (Babs) Myers and James (Janet) Myers, both of Hillsdale.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Lois Tressler.

Funeral services for Evelyn Green will be Friday, August 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Pastor Bryce Bowman officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Jefferson Twp. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
