Helen M. Wisner

Helen M. Wisner, 76, of Fayette, OH, and formerly of Lyons, OH, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at the Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, OH. She was born on September 11, 1935, in Clayton, MI, the daughter of the late Amos and Annie Mae Jones. Helen married Don S. Wisner on December 21, 1958, in Angola, IN, and he preceded her in death on January 5, 1991.

Helen grew up in the Hudson-Camden-Morenci areas, and graduated from Morenci High School in 1952. She earned a 3-year Bible Diploma from the Baptist Bible Seminary in Johnson City, NY in 1956. She worked for Peter Stamping in Fayette for 28 years until they closed. She then worked at Fayette Tubular Products, retiring after seven years of service.

Surviving are a daughter, Luella (Darwin) Hanks of Elkhart, IN, a son, Stephen (Kristina) Wisner of Sylvania, OH; four grandchildren, Bergandy, Kapri (Wesley), Alexander, and Oliva; four great-grandchildren, Jalyssa, Marcus, Kaisha, and Layla; three sisters, Marjorie Green of Elkhart, IN, Ida (Robert) Teats of Montpelier, OH, Mary Ann (Garner) Parks of Albion, MI; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Jones of Fayette.

In addition to her parents and husband, Don, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rosa Burlew; two brothers, Amos Junior Jones and Samuel Jones; two brothers-in-law, Jack Green and James Burlew; and her special friend, Lorraine "Shorty" Eichler.

A memorial service for Helen Wisner will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at 3:00 p.m., at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
