Mary R. Lieby

April 18, 1944 - September 2, 2012

Mary R. Lieby, 68, of Hanover, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012, at her home. She was born April 18, 1944 in Hillsdale Co., Michigan to Arthur & Pauline (Howard) Craddock. She was married Feb. 14, 1964 to Wayne Lieby and he preceded her in death July 25, 2003.

Mary was a former employee of Jonesville Products, working from 1968 - 2010. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School. Mary enjoyed collecting donkeys and loved all animals, especially cats and dogs.

Surviving are 3 children, Darla Lieby of Jonesville, Patrick (Beverly) Lieby of Angola, Indiana and Eric (Deb) Lieby of Carson, Michigan; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Woodard of Coldwater and a special friend and companion, Jim Halstead.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne, a sister Alice Cole and brother, Howard Craddock.

Graveside funeral services for Mary Lieby will be Thursday, September 6, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at the Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville with Pastor Dan Pann officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m., at the Eagle Funeral Home in Jonesville.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Hillsdale Co. Humane Society.

My Aunt Mary was more like a sister than an aunt when we growing up, since we were so close in age. Although I moved far away I have always remembered her fondly, even if we only visited infrequently. My heart goes out for her friends and family that have been close to her the last several years for I know they will miss her deeply. I am sorry she had to endure the problems of cancer, and take some consolation in the fact that she will no longer have to suffer with it.
My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.

I loved aunt Mary very much, I am sorry that I missed the service. Just know that she is no longer in any pain, and is now with her mom dad and brother and sister, and husband. God bless you all. Love you. April

I am Marys niece, I havent seen her in awhile because I live in Florida now and dont get to Michigan much, I was sorry to hear of her passing but I know that shes no longer hurting.I will miss her alot .Again Im so sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you

I was a classmate of Mary's. We so wish she could have come to our 50th class reunion in June we would have loved to see her again. I am sure she will be missed by friends and family. May you be comforted by your memories of her.
