Norville B. Cramer

December 24, 1932 - April 2, 2017

Norville B. Cramer, 84, of Hillsdale, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born December 24, 1932 in Hudson, Michigan to Carroll & Mary (Dick) Cramer. Norville was married November 17, 1956 to Virginia Trautman and she survives.

Norville retired from Jonesville Products after 30 years of service. He was also employed at Allied Products and Cambria Tool. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country during the Korean Conflict. Norville was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Hillsdale County Wood Carvers.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Virginia; six children, Deborah (John) Zeiler of Hanover, Suzanne Cramer of Bridgeman, MI, Catherine (Jay) Grunewald of Munster, IN, Laura Cramer of Hillsdale, Scott (Sharon) Cramer of South Lyon, MI and Steven (Sheryl) Cramer of Kalamazoo; eight grandchildren; siblings, Virginia (Leonard) Zehnpfennig of Detroit, Valeowayne Freeland of Kalamazoo and Nancy (Merle) Boyd of Sylvania, OH.

Norville was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Ruby, Arlo, Ivan, Carroyd and Lynn.

A mass of Christian burial for Norville Cramer will be Thursday, April 6, 2017, at 11:00 AM, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hillsdale with Fr. David Reamsnyder as celebrant. Interment will take place at Lime Creek Cemetery in Hudson at 2:00 PM, Thursday. The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, from 5-8 PM, with a Prayer Vigil Service at 7:30, at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American heart Association.
