Norma P. Stiverson

Norma P. Stiverson, 91, of Hudson, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 11, 2017, at the MacRitchey Skilled Nursing Facility in Hillsdale. She was born December 16, 1925, in Addison, to the late Henry and Blanche (Wise) Herold. She married Fred J. Stiverson on July 22, 1944, in Hudson, and he preceded her in death on February 3, 2001.
Norma lived her early life in Addison, and graduated from Addison High School Class of 1943. A proud business woman, she was employed as a bookkeeper for Gro-Aid Inc. for 12 years and Homer Donaldson for 8 years, and belonged to the American Business Women’s Association as well as former business clubs of Lenawee County. A skilled seamstress, she enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting. Her other hobbies included Bingo, playing cards, and bowling. She served as treasurer of the Ma & Pa League for 25 years.
Surviving Norma are her sons, Tom (Marsha) Stiverson of Hillsdale and William Stiverson of Harrison MI; a brother, Douglas Herold of Addison; sister, Ruth Ann Anderson of Lake Columbia; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband of 56 years, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Stiverson; a sister, Vera Vann; and a granddaughter in infancy, Melissa Stiverson.
A funeral service for Norma will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with Rev. Clyde Wonders officiating. Burial will follow in the Churches Corners Cemetery in Wheatland Township. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Memorial contributions in honor of Norma can be designated to the Hudson Museum or Hudson Carnegie District Library.
