Raymond Edward Means

Raymond Edward Means, 68 of Jonesville, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 10, 1949 in Jersey City, New Jersey. Ray married Cindy Hout on October 8, 1983 and she survives.
Ray graduated from Connell High School in Washington and he received his associates degree from Olney Central College in Illinois. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Ray was a plant operator for Marathon Oil and later retired from Dow Automotive in Hillsdale. He was an avid golfer who during his retirement, enjoyed working part time at Mill Race golf course. Ray also enjoyed traveling the country with his wife and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Cindy, Ray is survived by two sons, Ray (Brynn) of Charlotte, North Carolina and Bronson Means of Reading; four grandchildren, Miley Dunlap, Ameilia Means, Emerson Means and Anderson Means and four siblings, Arlene (Al) Herman of Dayton, New Jersey, Dennis (Deanna) Means of Marysville, Washington, Danny (Gina) Gugulski of Roseville, New Jersey and Michael Gugulski of Cranford, New Jersey.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Arlene Moore.
Memorial services for Raymond Means will be Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Eagle Funeral Home in Jonesville with Pastor Jim Hibbard officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
