Misty Michelle Stace

September 24, 1973 - August 2, 2017

Misty Michelle Stace, 43, of Wauseon, formerly of Blissfield, MI, died Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, the result of a brain aneurysm. Born September 24, 1973, in Adrian, MI, she was the only child of Gregory and Sandra (Jacques) Burnett. They survive.

Misty lived her formative years in Blissfield, and graduated from Blissfield High School with the class of 1991. She was employed her entire adult life as a waitress, working at various restaurants in Blissfield and most recently at Mayberry Diner (West) in Toledo. Misty attended the Zion United Brethren Church near Blissfield.

Remembered by her family as a social and very giving person, Misty always put others' needs before her own. She enjoyed scrapbooking, her jolly rancher popsicles, and she was a die-hard Alabama Crimson Tide football fan, recently attending a game this past season.

Surviving to mourn her loss in addition to her parents of Wauseon, are five children, Victoria Brooke Stace of Wauseon, Haley Rae Stace of Blissfield, Kelli Stace (and fiancée Keegan Stewart) of Adrian, MI, Mandi Stace of Adrian, and Tyler Stace of Adrian; four grandchildren, Tyven, Declan, Gage, and Kayleigh; and many aunts and uncles.

Preceding Misty in death were her maternal and paternal grandparents; an uncle, George Jacques; and special aunts Gege and Kimmy.

Misty’s selfless legacy continues after her passing, gifting life to others as an organ and tissue donor.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. at the Zion United Brethren Church in Ogden Township, MI with Pastor Aden Porter officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at the church for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Arrangements were handled by the Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette, OH.

Memorial contributions in Misty’s name can be designated to a charity of the donor’s choice.
