Beth Ann Beal
September 3, 1951 - August 11, 2017
Beth Ann Beal, 65, of rural Hudson, died Friday, August 11, 2017, in the comfort of her home and family, following a battle with brain cancer. Born September 3, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Cyril and Grace (Zweidinger) Hartley. A 1969 graduate of Hudson High School, she married William A. Beal on November 12, 1971, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and he survives.
Beth furthered her education in the medical field at Cleary College, and spent her career working as a medical transcriptionist for IMAPC in Adrian, retiring in September of 2014 with over 39 years of service. An avid walker and reader, Beth also enjoyed golfing and shopping trips. She loved to travel, especially to Disney World with her children and grandchildren. She and Bill enjoyed many winters in Fairview Village and Winter Haven, FL.
Catholic by faith, Beth was an active and devout member of Sacred Heart Church in Hudson.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 45 years, Bill, are her daughter, Bridget (Nick) Stoyk of Jackson; son, Brian (Olivia) Beal of Beavercreek, OH; brother, Phil (Linda) Hartley of Hudson; sister, Becky (Phillip) Lawrence of Loch Erin, MI; four grandchildren, twins, Connor and Braxton, Jeffrey, and Haleigh; sister-in-law, Cathy Schoonover of Hudson; brother-in-law, Charles (Jennie) Beal of Hudson; and numerous cherished nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jeffrey Schoonover, and a sister-in-law, Carla Beal.
A Funeral Mass for the soul of Beth will be celebrated Monday, August 14, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hudson with Father Joseph Krupp and Father Matt Hartley presiding. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday afternoon, from 3-7 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson, concluding with a vigil prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions in honor of Beth may be considered to the Brain Tumor Network or University of Michigan Health Systems.
