Robert John Snyder Sr.

March 9, 1954 - November 4, 2017

Robert “Bob” John Snyder, 63, of Bronson went peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday November 4, 2017 while surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born March 9, 1954 in Sturgis to Clarence and Rosemarie (Nowicki) Snyder of Bronson. Bob graduated from Bronson High School in 1972, where he was an all conference basketball player. He went on to play basketball and graduate with a business degree from Tri State University in 1976. Bob and his brothers successfully owned and operated Twin County Wash “Snyder’s Laundry” in Angola, Sturgis and Coldwater. Bob married his beloved wife of 38 years, Sherry (Stempien) Snyder of Quincy, on December 1, 1979 and had two sons. Bob was a devoted husband, a loving father, and an adored grandpa. He was a man of faith, caring and compassionate always finding the best in others. He was an extremely generous man, loved and lived life to its fullest and always knew how to have fun. Bob was an avid outdoorsman, a passionate hunter and cherished his time on Drummond Island where he enjoyed fishing, Jeeping, and rock hunting. He enjoyed collecting antique fishing lures and spent countless hours boating and skiing on Matteson Lake. He was a successful baseball coach, receiving assistant coach of the year honors and loved teaching people how to water-ski. Nothing meant more to him to than to see others smile and enjoy life.

Thank you for all the great memories Bobbo and though we will always have you in our hearts you will be dearly missed.

Bob is survived by his wife and two sons, Robert John (Jennifer) Snyder, Jr. of Williamston and Jesse Lee Snyder of Lansing; brothers Gregory Snyder of Bronson, Mark (Candy) Snyder of Bronson and who he called “my babies”, triplet grandchildren, Madeline, Jack and William who will always know him as “Papa”.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Rosemary Snyder.

A celebration of life for Robert “Bob” John Snyder Sr. will be held November 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Coldwater with Pastor Dave Pierce officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends and family for visitation on November 18 at 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.

Memorial Donations may be made to McLaren Hospice of Lansing.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home- George White Chapel in Quincy.
