Judith Ann Hartman
October 19, 1936 - November 21, 2017
Judith Ann Hartman, 81 of Reading, was welcomed home by Jesus Tuesday, November 21, 2017. She was born October 19, 1936 in Hillsdale to Clyde M. and Virginia I. (Brown) Dryer. Judy married Charles H. Hartman on August 31, 1958 and he survives.
She graduated from Camden Frontier High School in 1954. Judy drove bus for Camden Frontier for 19 years and was a mail carrier for Montgomery for 23 years before she retired in 1996. Judy committed her life to Jesus, her personal Lord and Savior, and was a faithful, dedicated member of the New Beginning Church in Montgomery as well as the Montgomery American Legion #156. She enjoyed wood and leather working, motorcycling and bowling on a league. Judy was a strong and determined woman and was viewed as a mother and grandmother to all; she had a giving nature and was one who was always willing to help others.
In addition to her husband, Charles, Judy is survived by daughters, Jo (Clinton) Slusher of Montgomery, Dawn Dryer-VanAken (Kevin Brewton) of Reading and Kelly (Bill) Dryer-Minion of Hillsdale; sons, Jay Hartman of Montgomery and Jody (Teri) Hartman of Camden; brothers, Jerry Dryer of Reading, Jim Dryer of Florida and Jack (Patty) Dryer of North Carolina; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and two nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service for Judith Ann Hartman will be Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the New Beginning Church in Montgomery with Pastor Herb Strickland and Reverend Kevin Slusher officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date in the Berg Cemetery
Memorials are suggested to the New Beginning Church or the Montgomery American Legion.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel, Reading.
