Nancy Dilworth, 75, of Morenci, died early Thursday morning, January 4, 2018, at the Hospice of Lenawee Home in Adrian. She was born on December 4, 1942, in Morenci to the late Floyd and Dorothy (Fausey) Deatrick. She married George Raymond Dilworth on Valentine’s Day, 1975, and he preceded her in death on October 19, 2016.
A 1960 graduate of Morenci High School and lifelong resident, Nancy was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Morenci Women’s Bowling League. She and her husband were longtime co-owners of George’s Auto Parts in Morenci. She enjoyed bird watching and cooking, and will be greatly missed by her canine companion Chloe.
Also surviving to mourn her loss are her children, Jacob (Heather) Dilworth of Wauseon, OH, Jamie (Matt) Dilworth of Otisville, MI, Gilbert (Amy) Henry of Adrian, MI and Tammy Sullivan of Riga, MI; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, George, she was preceded in death by her step-father James Miles.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for Nancy and George will take place at the Morenci American Legion at a later date. They will be laid to rest together at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. Arrangements were handled by the Eagle Funeral Home in Morenci.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Lenawee and Dr. Decker and his staff for their caring and compassionate care that Nancy received during her end stage of life.
