Kevin Mark Hall

Kevin Mark Hall, 58, of West Weston Rd., Morenci, died Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Born in Hudson on November 20, 1959, he was the son of Betty Jean (Simpkins) and the late Ray “Tut” Hall.
A lifelong resident of Morenci, he was a graduate of Morenci High School Class of 1977. He married the love of his life, Laura Johnston on September 12, 1987 in Fayette, OH. Kevin was a painter and landscaper, and was the sole-proprietor of his local service business, 5 Points Painting. He was involved as a member of both the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Morenci and the Morenci Sons of the American Legion Post #368.
A sports enthusiast, Kevin was an avid University of Michigan fan, and also found pleasure in racing. He enjoyed drag racing and followed NASCAR, specifically Wood Brothers Racing, #21 Car. He also enjoyed the seasonal hobbies of golfing and snowmobiling, and listening to southern rock music.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 30 years, Laurie, are his mother, Betty Jean Hall of Morenci; his son, Jediah (Kristin) Hall of Morenci; three siblings, Terry Hall of Morenci, Tracy (Maleia) Hall of Sand Creek, and Jeanne Dietrich of Morenci; a granddaughter, Ezri Hall, and another grandchild on-the-way. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Barbara Johnston of Wauseon, OH; sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Brad) Kebschull, Dawn (Charlie) Pontious, and Cindy Johnston; and several nieces and nephews, Lenna (Pat) McCaskey, Brock (Kate) Dietrich, Matthew Johnston, Marissa (Aaron) Schmidt, Katherine Johnston, Kristina (Lewis) Grant, Brent (Sarah) Kebschull, Jade Pontious and Cody Pontious.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Wallace Johnston, and a brother-in-law, Jeffery Johnston.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, from 2-7 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Morenci. A memorial service for Kevin will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Morenci United Methodist Church with Rev. William VanValkenburg officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.
Memorial contributions in honor of Kevin can be made to the Morenci Education Foundation, the American Cancer Society, or Lyme Disease Association.
