Harry James "Jim" Guy

Harry James “Jim” Guy, 76, of Woodbridge, Township, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018, at home. He was born on December 27, 1941, in Hillsdale. Jim attended Camden-Frontier Schools and was a 1959 graduate of Jackson High School. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and retired from Hillsdale Tool & Manufacturing with over 40 years of service. Jim did custom butchering and was a member of Hillsdale County Emergency Services. His hobbies included bowling, softball, hunting, fishing, camping, and snowmobiling. He enjoyed making jewelry with his daughters and putting cookbooks together.
On January 12, 1963, he married Eunice Dunlap and they celebrated 55 years of marriage. She survives, along with two daughters, Kristine (Paul) Kurtz of Berrien Springs and Shelly (Rob) Lockwood of Camden; two sons, Duane (Sherree) Guy of Hillsdale and Kevin (Sally) Guy of Montpelier, Ohio; four brothers, Terry, William, Richard, and David; one sister, Nancy; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several foreign exchange students and his two Shih Tzu dogs, Cricket and Nobe – his pride and joy!! He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Howard R. & Edna Guy; mother & stepfather, Audrey (Swan) & Alfred Easterday; and sister, Judy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at South Woodbridge Pentecostal Church of God with Pastor Jim Hibbard officiating. Visitation is scheduled Wednesday, February 28, 2018, from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading. Memorials are suggested to South Woodbridge Pentecostal Church or Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
