Mary Noreen Rehklau
September 21, 1938 - March 19, 2018
Mary Noreen (Carter) Rehklau passed to her heavenly home Monday afternoon surrounded by her family and close friends. Neen, as she liked to be called, was born September 21, 1938 to Kenneth and Mary (Adair) Carter. Neen graduated from Reading High School in 1956. She was married to Paul Stanley Rehklau on June 3, 1956 and lived happily together for 60 years. They had five sons, Paul (Rick), Dinnis, Chris and Vance Rehklau and John Proctor. She also claimed many others as her own.
Neen was a substitute bus driver for Hillsdale Schools, a 4-H leader, did crafts after school with kids and loved drawing and crafts. She wrote her monthly Grandma Pepper letters for her grandkids and many other children. She had always wanted to write children’s books, but never got the chance. She was a friend to all and especially to those in need. Her smile was contagious and she made everyone feel like they were the most important person in the world. She loved to go to church and sing praises to her Lord
She is survived by two brothers, Alfred Carter and Kenneth Carter; one sister, Maureen Bailey; sons, Paul (Rick) Joyce Rehklau, Chris (Marsha) Rehklau, Vance (Melissa) Rehklau and John (Kathy) Proctor; nieces; nephews; seven grankids and seventeen great grandkids whom she loved dearly. Also by very special caregivers, Tiffany Moore, Olivia Rehklau, Cheryl Estel, Madaline Van der Harst and Sumer Rodgers.
Neen was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Mary Carter; husband, Paul Rehklau and her son, Dinnis Rehklau.
