Marcus E. Hall
February 15, 1935 - March 27, 2018
Marcus E. Hall, age 83, of Jonesville, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility surrounded by his family. He was born February 15, 1935 in Charleston, West Virginia to Marcus C. and Opal (Huffman) Hall. Mark married Carolyn Angel on May 21, 1955 and she preceded him in death on February 1, 2014.
Mark worked as a meat cutter for Black's IGA in Albion and Jackson, Hutch's Food Center in Quincy and Meijer in Coldwater until his retirement. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1953-1956. Mark enjoyed bowling, spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Survivors include three children, Marcus "Ed" (Shelly) Hall, Donna (Jerry) Stuchell and Mary (Mark) Piper, all of Jonesville; seven grandchildren, Marcus (Robyn) Hall, Jessica (Shawn) Mason, Justin (Erica) Stuchell, Emily (Damian) Ramirez, Nick (Erin) Piper, Jared (Ashley) Stuchell and Luke (Jess) Piper; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Anna Faye of Evans, Pennsylvania and brother, Tom Hall of Parkersburg, West Virginia.
In addition to his wife of nearly 60 years, Carolyn Hall, Marcus was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Nettie and three brothers, Donald, William and Vincent.
A memorial visitation for Marcus Hall will be held Friday, March 30, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home in Jonesville. Family interment will take place at Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville at a later date.
