Jeanette L. Kibler
April 25, 1930 - April 17, 2018
Jeanette L. Kibler, 87, of Waldron, died early Tuesday morning, April 17, 2018, at the home of her daughter in rural Hudson. Born April 25, 1930, in Samaria, MI, she was the daughter of the late Arlo and Delia (Hiser) Kuney. She married Maurice “Dean” Kibler on May 22, 1948, in Waldron, and he preceded her in death in 2010.
Jeanette served her family as a loving mother and homemaker. For many years she volunteered for Wright Township, registering voters during elections. She was a longtime member of the Pythian Sisters Waldron Temple #74, and served the fraternity as its treasurer for several years. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.
Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl (Ed) Hassenzahl of Hudson, and son, David (Jigs) Kibler of Spearfish, SD; two sisters, Mary Kuney of Fayette, OH, and Margaret (Bruce) Hayes of Frontier; a brother, Allen Kuney of Victorville, CA; five grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Neva Comodoll and Arlene Wheeler; three brothers, Jerry, Larry, and Gerald Kuney; and a granddaughter, Abigail Sayers in 1994.
In accordance with Jeanette’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has scheduled a public memorial service to honor her life to take place on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Waldron Cemetery in Waldron.
Arrangements were handled by the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson.
