Marlyn M. Kutzley

Marlyn M. Kutzley, 84, of Morenci, died early Thursday morning, May 17, 2018, at Charlotte Stephenson Manor in Adrian. Born April 29, 1934, in Lenawee County, she was the daughter of the late French and Katherine (Gruber) Linger.
A 1952 graduate of Morenci Area Schools, she lived her entire life in rural Morenci. She married Howard W. Kutzley on April 4, 1952, in Morenci, and he preceded her in death on October 21, 1996.
She served in several office positions over the years at local companies including Rural Urban Insurance, Keller’s Supply, Fayette Tubular Products, and the Morenci Telephone Company. She was a longtime member of the Morenci First Congregational Church and the Morenci Eagles.
Marlyn is remembered for her enjoyment of yard work, shopping, casino trips, and playing cards. She was talented at playing the organ and also at oil painting. Most especially, she enjoyed the abundant blessings of her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Steve (Cheryl) Kutzley and Terry (Sheryl) Kutzley both of Morenci; six grandchildren, Hannah (Braydon) Meck, Cedric Kutzley (and Emilee Smith), Hattie (Andrew) Fenner, Justin Kutzley (and Leah Green), Shawn Kutzley (and Lyndsey McCarty), and Emily (Bryce) Downard; and four great-grandchildren, Oliver, Nehemiah, Lettie, and Madalyn.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Linger.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, May 20, 2018, from 3-7 p.m., at the Eagle Funeral Home in Morenci. A funeral service for Marlyn will be held on Monday, May 21, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home with Rev. William VanValkenburg officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.
